| April 10, 2010 @ 1:04pm | | I'm working on Easter eggs! Too bad Easter was early in April this year - seems like I should be finished with the eggs by now. I finished both my March SALs (Red Thread and Baubles) and the Feb Baubles that didn't get finished in Feb - yeah! |

| Ready for April | March 23, 2010 @ 9:29am | Three months - three completed projects. It has surprised me how joining the SAL has changed the rhythm of my stitching. I enjoy the pieces, but have been much more focused than usual on completion (a good thing), to return to other longer-term projects.
I'm also working on the Stitch Your Heart Out (SYHO) series. Took some time to get the right materials for the first one, and I'm making changes to the second one. These are small and fairly quick, and I'll be stitching pieces by designers other than my (current) favorites. It's sort of like a pot luck dinner - try it, you might like it.
Keep on stitching, --Joanne |

| March 2, 2010 @ 7:03pm | I finished 1 of my 2 Feb SALs - The Red Thread one. In case anyone is interested in why I didn't finish the other one - my Feb Baubles, here's my story. I participated in a "Stitching Olympics" suggested by Debbie Sewell in her president's letter in the EGA Sand Dunes Chapter's newsletter. I chose a project and stitched on it exclusively between the opening and closing ceremonies. I finished 75%, so I qualified for a silver medal. If one finished 100% that qualified for gold, and 50% was bronze. I worked on Blackbird Design's Willow House on 40ct fabric. It was fun! Now, it's time to get back to my March SALs!!! ... and somehow find time to finish the Feb and the Willow house |
