I'm working on Victoria Sampler's 12 Days of Christmas bellpull. I'm doing the "Partridge in a Pear Tree" for January and am almost done - work just keeps getting in the way...

I'm stitching "Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow" by Carriage House Sampling. I've done both Villages and Houses of Hawk Run Hollow this same way - one block per month, one pattern per year the last two years.

I'm stitching the SamSarah designs monthly Baubles and the Bent Creek snappers series of The Red Thread. Both of the January ones were snowmen, and I'm stitching them in Hawaii where the weather has been beautiful - too funny!

I'm stitching The Sweetheart Tree "Fleurs de Provence". I'm working the border as I reach each band. I look forward to seeing what everyone is stitching.

My Stitch A Long is LIzzie Kate Stamps. I'm stitching them on 28ct Lambswool over two using overdyed threads.
Thanks Kathy, for getting this message board for us. It's going to be fun to see what everyone is stitching, and where we're all from.

My stitch a long piece is "The Shores of Hawk Run".I finished January and it was painful to not start the next section. This was such a great and fun idea. Thanks Kathy for providing a place for all us crazy stitchers to gather and share.

I am stitching Teenie Tweenies (monthly hearts) from Sweetheart tree circa 1999 - The finished piece I aspire to will look a lot like the mini quilt hanging in the bathroom at ND (actually it is currently in the Valentines display). I am also stitching Lizzie Kate's Flip It Stamp series from a few years ago. I'm doing those on a long vertical banner.

2010 SAL - Color DelightsFebruary 1, 2010 @ 7:14am
I'm stitching Kathy's Color Delights, starting with the November "Sunshine" piece. When I saw the info for the "Color of the Month" TLC, I thought it would be a great way to add to my stash - not just the colors I like, but to round it out a bit. I enjoy counted stitches and have started doing some canvas work again. This series has been fun - a course in color and stitches.

I live near Philadelphia, PA, so thanks for opening up the SAL to long-distance stitchers.

I'm stitching "Villages of Hawk Run Hollow" by Carriage House Sampling and to be honest - probably would not have started it right now without breaking it down into 12 manageable charts. Funny how breaking it down changes your mindset - makes it seem manageable. Completed January a week ahead of time and enjoyed working on a pinkeep just for fun over the wintry weekend. On to February's chart! I confess I had to look up what everyone else was working on!

I am working on Floral Heart Francoise by Wiehenburg which only has four pages. So, after I have finished those 4 pages, I will be working on Humboldt Coast by Silver Lining.

I finished my first page on 1/6/2010.

I live in "very rural" Laurel Hill, FL and I am thankful for the Stitch-A-Long project. I have always wanted to join a stitch-a-long, but the cost was prohibitive.

Thank you, Kathy for this wonderful idea.

What project are you stitching for the Stitch-A-Long?February 2, 2010 @ 11:33pm
I am stitching the Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle that I have attempted to work on the the last 4 years. It is now February 2 and I have to admit that my progress is slow but steady. Only half done of what I planned. Many color changes make this project slow going! But I will persist!
This is a project I would not even have started without this Stitch-A-Long. Thanks, Kathy for getting me and many others off to a great stitching start in 2010.

My sal is "The Shores of Hawk Run Hollow" and I have to tell you, this would have been the perfect day to stay home snuggled up with a quilt and my cross stitch, watching the snow fall. Well my job had to interfere with that idea. When i got home from work I finished chart 2 for Feburary!!Yea, It's so cute. Now back to the piece I am also working on "The Enchanted Alphabet"

SAL ProjectFebruary 13, 2010 @ 9:03pm
I needed a "small" SAL project (one that I might actually be able to keep up with!) so I'm doing Lizzie Kate's Living with Charm. Hoping it will be a 2010 Christmas gift to myself to have it framed and hang in my office!
