News That Counts!
Sent: January 6, 2006
Hi Stitchers –
I know there is a lot to tell you but some will have to wait for next week as I’m running out of time today! It has been a crazy busy week at Needle Delights! I’ll give you the highlights and that’ll have to hold you until next week! It’ll probably still be a long newsy note, so get comfy, grab a cup of coffee or tea, and enjoy!
All Night Stitch
We’ve scheduled the next All Night Stitch-In on Saturday, Feb 25th - mark your calendars and plan to join us – doorprizes will be brought home from Nashville!
I received a mailing from Just Nan and her new items being released this month are posted on her website http://www.justnan.com/whatsnew.htm. My favorite is the darling little Snow Faces in the cute new antique white embossed WhimZi frame. Jasmine Mix is packaged with a Jasmine Charm and Beads and is a nice companion to Wintry Mix which a lot of you picked up last time she released patterns. To view it all, see her website. As usual, if there’s anything you’d like to reserve when it comes in, just let me know. It should all ship mid January so let me know by Jan 10th what you’d like.
Lizzie Kate Blessings of Christmas Ornaments (2006 Flip-Its)
We’ve sold out of our 1st AND 2nd shipments of the first set of the Lizzie Kate Blessings of Christmas Flip-Its. More are on the way so don’t delay if you’d like to join in stitching this set of ornaments – how cool would it be to have a whole set of Finished ornaments by December to hang on your tree?! Button packs to finish the whole set are available for $10.95 and wool packs to finish the whole set will be available for $40. I’ll be offering a finishing make-it/take-it class in March or April so if you’re interested, let me know. These are cute, quick, fun, and easy to finish. They have to be if I’m not having mom finish them for me! If you want to see the ornaments, see http://www.lizziekate.com.
A Most Noble Pursuit/Nashville Market
I sent in my registration and booked my hotel for Nashville for the trade show next month. As always, market time is so exciting! I’ll know ahead of some of the goodies but mostly look forward to the great discoveries that I get to bring home to all of you. These next few weeks will be busy getting ready to go and taking advance orders for those items that the designers do tell us about ahead of time. The one I’m most excited about is A Most Noble Pursuit, which is a limited-edition collaboration sampler from ten different designers. I’ve got a list of people signed up already and will offer more details on pricing on fabric and threads for this piece next week. The pattern will be $40 and must be paid for by February 1st for me to bring it home from Nashville for you. If there is enough interest, we will have a stitch-a-long once or twice a month for people who want to work on this together. Some of us have decided to leave out the middle two sections which changes the look a little and will make a better companion to the Houses of Hawk Run Hollow that I’m working on. To read more about this special sampler and see a photo, visit http://www.withmyneedle.com/AMostNoblePursuit.htm
The cookbook with recipes from various designers and shops was such a hit at the Nashville show last year that they are producing another this year. Knowing human nature, the recipes will be even better than last year. If you’d like to reserve a copy, send me an email with “Cookbook” in the subject line.
I finished a year long project this week! I put the last stitch in my Flip-It bellpull Tuesday night! Once I put the bellpull hardware on it, I’ll put a photo on the website. It’s in the shop if you want to see it in person.
Needlepoint Ornament Club 2006
Are you tired of reading about this yet?! We’re drawing trees on canvas for those people that will be stitching the Tree – class starts next week. There’s still time to sign up if you want to participate by mail. The Tree with four stitched sections will be in the shop Saturday if you’d like to see it. I’ve stitched a few more of the individual ornaments as well. I’m excited about this class and how well it has been received. I’m really enjoying designing on canvas and look forward to more releases through the year.
Don’t forget – this weekend is the last time to see the trees on the website as I will remove the page on Monday. http://www.needledelights.com/index.php/photos/7.html
That’s all for today – have a great weekend! Here in Pensacola, the weather is cold so it’ll be perfect stitching weather. Put something in the crockpot and stitch all day!
