Happy Friday Stitchers!
I've spent the morning scheduling a few classes and events and have updated the Calendar on the website. We've scheduled a few Punch Needle classes for those of you who have been asking. You can pick any pattern and come try this quick and fun technique! There's also a "Beyond Basics" linen class called "Linen Easter Eggs" - I've finished stitching them and as soon as they are made into Egg Ornaments, I'll put a photo on the website. We're still doing the Susan Portra lightbulbs monthly on the 3rd Friday morning and my Ornament Club meets several times a month - you can start those anytime. We'll do the Lizzie Kate ornament finishing class on April 20th and 22nd. I'm working on more but they're not quite ready for publicity yet!
All Night Stitch-Ins - May 20th, September 9th, December 2nd
Our Holiday Open House will be August 24-26th - plan your vacation trip to Pensacola now!
I'm extremely thrilled and excited to announce "The Needle Fair, A Stitching Retreat" sponsored by Needle Delights. We've set the date for the weekend of Oct 13th - 15th. The Retreat will be at Camp Beckwith near Fairhope, Alabama and the cost will be $200-250, depending on your choice of accomodation. Jinger & I drove over this week and toured the camp and made our reservations. Located in a peaceful coastal forest on the shores of Weeks Bay, this will be a wonderful getaway weekend. There are private rooms (double occupancy) available as well as dormitories (although there are bunk beds, nobody is required to sleep on the top!). Now we need to hear from you! This will be our first (of many, I hope!!) Stitching Retreats and we have tons of ideas. If you are interested in going, send me an email with the Subject line of "Retreat" and we will be sure to send you the official brochure when it is ready. If you have any questions, ask away - I'll have some of the answers! Brochures should be ready by the middle of March and if you send me an email, you'll be on the list to get this info. If you want to reserve your space now, you can send us a deposit of $50 and let us know what accomodation you want - room or dormitory. The number of rooms is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis.
I hope you'll plan to join us for a class or special stitching event this year - I want to offer you plenty of stitching opportunities! I think it's fun to be with other stitchers and if you've never stitched with others, get off the couch and come join us!!
