Ornament of the Month Club 2007 and more
Sent: December 15, 2006
Hi Stitchers -
I've set up a new Gallery on the website for the Ornaments of the Month 2007 to give you a sneak peek at the ornaments I'm designing for next year's Club. They will be stitched on a different color canvas each month using a variety of threads. They will be quick to stitch, fairly simple to finish, and they will twirl on your tree as I'm finishing them into a tubular shape - I'm calling them "Twirlaments"! Kits are sent the 2nd week each month and cost of the Club is $12 per month plus $1.50 for S&H. Classes meet once a month on the 2nd Tuesday or 3rd Saturday of each month. Email us or call to sign up now! Class dates for January are Tuesday, January 9th and Saturday, Jan 20th.
I've updated the page for the 2006 Ornaments and posted a photo of the finished Ornament Tree.
We have new things in the shop and wanted to let you know about a few favorites.
The Proper Stitch by Darlene O'Steen - A classic guide for Counted Thread needlework, this wonderful book was originally published in 1994. It has been revised, updated and expanded and is now available again with new stitches and new information! Along with all the information are patterns for three samplers. 168 pages. Hardcover with a covered spiral binding so that the book will open flat. $44.95
I also posted a photo of Be Merry from Shepherds Bush - although it looks quick to stitch, I don't think I'll make it for Christmas this year but it's a must for next year!
For a laugh, there's a new Dolly Mama kit - Go Braless...it pulls the wrinkles out of your face! The photo of the whole design is in the "New in the Shop" gallery at the link above! There are more fun kits coming in the new year.
Don't forget to check the Merchant Mall for the new listings of the week! Faithwurks has some darling new "Spool Kits" and there's a cute La D Da pattern for fellow "kitty lovers"!
Take some time for yourself during this busy holiday season and pick up your stitching - it reduces stress!
