Hi Stitchers -
I'll cover just a few of the highlights for those of you who are still reading this email! In no particular order, here are some of my favorites that arrived this week!
Designs from England - Heirloom Embroideries "Medley" and "To A New Beginning" were beautiful pieces that I saw at market. I wish the photos were better because these were absolutely breathtaking in person - very elegant. Sticken & Stannen's charts are also much better in person than the photos and provide a great jumping off point for those wanting to do your own thing with hearts or alphabets. We especially like the "My Hearts".
New Bargello book - Creating Contemporary Bargello, A Designer's Guide. This is a fabulous, very complete book on bargello. There are 24 projects included in the book with color photos but also some great information on designing your own pieces. $34.95
Just Nan's Queen's Bluebird Box and Bellemeade have arrived - you can now see them in person if you were curious about them - we only have two of the Bluebird Box left and can't get more so act quickly if you're interested.
The new colors of Gentle Art Sampler threads are in - I've already used the Schoolhouse Red!
New designs from Little House are adorable (Gourmet Garden, Garden Pleasures, and Necesssities Sampler). There's another new pattern from Midsummer Night Designs (maybe my new favorite designer along with Rosewood Manor!) - Liberty. I like it and may have to stitch it after I finish "Forget Me Not" - it's almost done and I'll post a photo when it's finished!
We've had more people sign up for the retreat and there are just a few spaces left. If you're interested in coming, please register as soon as possible!
As always, don't forget to check the Merchant Mall on the website for more new patterns.
Have you taught anyone to stitch lately? Bookmarks are a great beginning project! Share your stories with me!
