Hi Stitchers!

Happy New Year – it’s the first Friday Update of the year and there’s a lot to share with you. We’ve taken Christmas out of the front window and redecorated a few places in the shop. It’s refreshing to look at our PINK window – come check out our new displays.

I’ve updated the “New in the Shop” page and have placed a lot of orders this week. I imagine the man in brown will be bringing us a lot of packages next week. I placed a huge order of buttons from Just Another Button Company for all the fun new stuff that’s been arriving the last few weeks. The Teapot Series and the Baubles series have both been well received and are very cute. You can see the first two of the Teapot series on the Monthlies page and still sign up for these. You may also purchase them individually if you don’t want to sign up for the entire series.

The frame for Mitten Men is $35.00 and must be ordered in advance – they have a limited supply as usual. The WhimZi frame with the mitten at the bottom is $20.00. The Heart Butterfly frame is $38.00 – we’ve had this one before and it’s beautiful. The pattern is free with the frame or any other Just Nan purchase from these new releases.

The new Lizzie Kate Double Flip-its are in – we’ve already had to reorder and have more in the shop if you didn’t sign up for this already wildly popular series. They can be stitched individually or as one long piece. I've already stitched "Dream" and hope to finish "Love" soon! I'll post photos when I do!

Also new in the shop: the latest Loose Feathers from Blackbird and the latest Threadpacks from Little House, Country Cottage, and Crescent Colours and probably more that I'm not remembering!

This weekend, I’ll be updating the class page – I do have a punchneedle class scheduled for Friday, January 18^th at 5pm. If you’d like to come, please call or come into the shop to sign up. Also starting next week is the Needlepoint Ornament of the Month. The first class is Tuesday, Jan 8^th in the morning or evening. If you don’t want to do individual ornaments, you can do one geometric piece that will be somewhat of a mystery piece – come into the shop for more details and to see what I’ve done so far. I’m really excited about this piece because we are stitching with overdyed silk and embellishing with beads. There’s been terrific response from the people who’ve seen it so far.
