Online Needlework Show - Long & Newsy Part 2
Sent: April 18, 2008
Hi Stitchers -
Here's the rest of my "thoughts and opinions" on the online show. You have until Monday at 7pm (central time) to place your orders. I have to have all my orders placed by 11pm on the 21st.
Needle & Frame – geometric satin stitches, pulled thread, swedish weaving, needlelace and some fun Laying Tools (wood)
NeedleArt Connections – reproductions of museum antique Dutch samplers
Northern Pine Designs – great counted needlepoint designs - Abalone and Heart of Fire are brand new
Olive Hope Design – specializes in cross stitch designs with Braille, using beads. She has more designs that don't include Braille and a lot of them would be great for kids to learn to stitch
Periwinkle Promises – the pictures don't do justice to her designs. Mostly smplers using a variety of stitches; you just can't see the detail in the photos. Kits include only the finest quality of linen and silks.
Plum Street Samplers – New to this show but not to our shop; we sell a lot her patterns and she has several styles
Prairie Moon – Quirky and fun, International Folk Art (New designs "Native American" and "Aboriginal"). If you LOVE Halloween, you must take a look at this designer's offerings!
Praiseworthy Stitches – samplers that combine traditional design with a little quirkyness (is that a word?!)
Queenstown Sampler Designs – Samplers and more - the best Blue Crab I've ever seen in x-stitch
Sekas – in addition to her ever popular Watercolour series on 10 ct Tula, she now offers needlepoint fobs on painted canvas that come with a stitch guide. Quick & simple, they make great gifts or would be a great class (anyone interested?!)
Simple Stitches – cute patterns - I love the Monthly Village Shops, especially the Stitchery Shop and the Beach Shop. One of my personal UFOs is shown "Day at the Beach". I just looked at it the other day - maybe I'll have to pick it up and put a few stitches in it this weekend.
Stickideen von der Wiehenburg – Quaker, Spot Motif, and Band Samplers. A fairly new company - I like the look of their designs.
Stitch-A-Gift – fun mesh bags (project bags) accented with fashionable fabrics and colorful zippers
Stitching Pretty Presents – patterns from several needlework designers showing quite a variety
Stitching Studio – check out Mouth of the Flower and Family of Birds and tell me what you think of these unusual designs. I look forward to seeing more
Stoney Creek – a popular long time design company with a magazine, there are some cute kits I don't normally carry that you might be interested in
STS Crafts – Terry cloth products for babies and bath. Kitchen towels are made of 100% cotton damask. I've ordered the bibs from this company and been pleased with the quality.
Sue Hillis Designs – 30 years as a cross stitch designer! You know her designs sell well. I like her new "Not Tonight, I'm Stitching". Her state map series is a best seller - we have the FL map stitched in the shop and all 50 states as well as a lot of countries are available. A free chart with every order
Susan Saltzgiver – unique and eclectic designs. The Sports Images Sets have been popular
Sweetheart Tree – her new biscornu kits have been very popular as well as "Friendship"
Threaded Needle– peyote stitch and beadweaving patterns and kits. I really like the bookmarks and needlecase kits. The bead organizer boxes are great - we carry them in the shop.
Threads of Golds – many samplers from a lot of desingers. Another vendor I always order from
I have to order everything by midnight on Monday so please give me as much time as you can. Just send me an email and tell me what you’d like. You are welcome to order more than once – I’ll be combining all the orders at the end and if you’re having an order shipped, you’ll get everything together with only one postage charge. Feel free to email me with any questions or comments as well. I'd like to know how you like this show.
