Happy Friday - I know many of you are beginning to enjoy a long weekend! Since we're normally closed on Mondays we will not be open on Memorial Day. We will be open regular hours tomorrow though (Saturday) from 9-4. If you'll be in the area Monday and would like to make an appointment, feel free to call.
Although we are happy to have a holiday that to many represents only the beginning of summer, we also need to stop and pay with sincere conviction our respects for those who died protecting and preserving the freedoms we enjoy, for we owe those honored dead more than we can ever repay. This is the true reason we have Memorial Day. Personally, I am also grateful for all the freedoms I have as an American.
It's been a quick week (I know, I know - I say this A LOT!!). Time flies when you're having fun and busy! I finished another design - the 2nd in the "Edibles" collection is Guacamole and this pattern includes not one, but two fabulous recipes for Guacamole! You can see the pattern at
There are several new counted needlepoint patterns and also a few new items under New in the Shop. Caron Collection has released "Possibilities" which can be worked on Congress cloth or 25 ct linen. Possibilities includes 12 patterns and 10 borders and can be worked in many ways. I haven't looked at it closely yet but I think the designs are all bargello and of course, the possibilities are endless. I see a class in the future for those of you who think you'd like to try your hand at a little designing - email me if you think this sounds fun.
I'm late for a date so I've got to cut this short - have a great weekend and try to stitch - it's stress relief!!
