Hi Stitchers -
It's Friday again! Life is good because time is flying! I hope you have all had a fun & productive week. I've updated the website with the new things and taken away some of the older stuff so you should see a newer fresher selection of "New in the Shop". There are some fun new charts from La D Da, Little House, Country Cottage, Homespun Elegance and more. Mill Hill released new kits this week and they should be arriving next Tuesday. The Rocky Mountain Santas on perforated paper are darling and make me think "It's just about time to start thinking about stitching holiday gifts." If you have Jewish friends or relatives, Mill Hill has included a Menorah, Star of David and two other blue & white ornaments in their new Tiny Treasured Diamond ornaments. These look fairly quick to stitch and with the beaded fringe will make elegant ornaments. See all the new at http://www.needledelights.com/index.php/photos/18.html
This week brought the release of another of my new designs "Ruby". It's the fourth in my Jewels & Gemstones. I'm not sure which one I'll do next! This morning, the last stitches were put into Cherry Cordial, the third in the Edibles Collection. It will be released next week but I posted a photo of it at
I've had a couple of requests to teach it - let me know if you're interested and I'll set up a class. If you email me, let me know what day of the week and whether morning or evening works best for you. This piece uses 9 different Watercolours and a metallic and was fun to stitch!
Liz has framed a couple of shop models this week. I am so excited to finally have "Houses of Hawk Run Hollow" in a frame and it looks AWESOME!! I started stitching this piece the summer before Ivan (the hurricane for the three people reading this who might not know!) and it has hung unframed in the shop for a long time. Stop by to see it. She also framed "Hearts of America" - the piece that Little House released at Nashville this year - it looks great and is quick to stitch. I'll post photos when I have a chance.
With longer summer days and school ending, don't forget that we have Free Stitching nights on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. June 3rd and June 17th are our Tuesdays this month. Come stitch from 5:30 to 8:00 - just bring what you're working on and join us for a fun evening - no reservations necessary. Call the shop if you have any questions.
I hope you have a great weekend - hope to see a lot of you in the shop tomorrow! Don't forget it's the last day to purchase Crescent Colour silks, Watercolours, and Threadpacks at the old prices before they increase on Tuesday...
