Friday Update

Sent: August 15, 2008

Hi Stitchers -

I don't know where the time goes! TheWhatsNew page is updated. Also be sure to check out the Merchant Mall for what's coming next week!On the new page, there are also previews of new releases from Just Nan (Christmas designs!), and a photo of the latest from Lavender & Lace and Mirabilia. We'll be making kits of the Mirabilia and will be happy to send you whatever you'd like.

I've spent my afternoon picking out color combinations for my Mystery Needlepoint year long class which will be starting in September. I'll be showing a small section of it at the Open House and you'll be able to sign up for it then. A full class schedule for the fall will be available as well. For those of you who can't attend class in the shop, models and color choices will be on the website and you'll be able to take a class "Correspondence Style".

The next Stitch-In is Saturday, September 6th. As usual, price to attend is $5.00 and your payment is your reservation. We've been selling out these events so sign up ASAP to be sure to get a space. This time we'll be doing a "Spaghetti Dinner".

Here's a little teaser about what you'll see at the Open House next week - Trunk Shows at the Open House will include a Punch Needle Showing from Lizzie Kate, models and "Stitcher's Bling" from Monsterbubbles, models and more bling from My Big Toe Designs, and a needlepint trunk show from Winnetka - we have a lot of really cute Christmas ornaments and stockings from them. The shop will be crammed with so much for you to see next week and we're excited to see so many of you.

We have plenty of new stuff in the shop already though so come see us before the Open House and/or let us know what you might want put aside for you!

A quote from needlepoint class this past Tuesday, "I have to go to class tonight to stab something so I won't stab a co-worker". Truly a testament to the fact that stitching is a stress reducing activity. Personally I've been getting a lot of extra stitching time staying up late watching the Olympics this week.
