I'm back from vacation and am hearing a lot about next year's Lizzie Kate Flip-it series so am giving you this info for "Tuesday Tidbits" this week! Email me if you want to be on the list and if you'd like to preorder fabric. I know you'll want to see a photo but there is not one yet so please don't ask! I'll post one when it becomes available!
Also - a reminder about our hours this week - If you're making plans for the Thanksgiving weekend, we will be closed on Nov 27th for Thanksgiving but will be open regular hours on Friday & Saturday, Nov 28th & 29th. Come help me celebrate my birthday Friday the 28th - did you know I was born on Thanksgiving??! We will be open tomorrow (Wednesday) from 10-5.
BOO! CLUB IS COMING!
Yes, it's official! The first Lizzie Kate Flip-it series for 2009 will be a Halloween-themed Boo Club! Here are the official notes from Lizzie Kate about the Boo! Club.
”We'll begin shipping the first Boo! Club Flip-its in early January. Like our previous Double Flips, each leaflet will contain 2 designs and two sets of buttons. The back cover will feature a photo of the entire series stitched together, and it is spookily awesome!”
The designs can be stitched individually (their models are on Mocha 30 ct. linen from Weeks Dye Works). The group of designs can also be stitched together on 32 ct. Belfast Dirty linen. I imagine these will also be able to be stitched on banding – some of you have enjoyed making bellpulls from the banding.
If you want to check your stash of threads, here is the list of the threads they used: Weeks Dye Works carrot, guacamole, havana, mascara (2), ocean, purple majesty, taffeta and whitewash (2). Gentle Art Sampler Threads butternut squash, forest glade and Ohio lemon pie. DMC 3833 (bright pink).
The whole series will be released in a timely fashion, with plenty of stitching time before Halloween rolls around. Then they will finish 2009 with another fun Flip-it series – I’m sure Linda is working on it already!
PERSONAL NOTE from Linda: This Halloween series is one of the MOST FUN things I have ever graphed and stitched!!! From bats to cats, frogs to Frankenstein, monsters to haunted mansions, this series is a lot of creepy fun.
