PS - Tuesday I told you about a fabulous one day offer from Longaberger to purchase a cake basket practically half price (Reg $76, sale $37). They sold over 37,000 baskets that one day and have extended the offer through the weekend. Click on
Hi Stitchers –
It's Friday again! If you haven't looked through all the new stuff on the website, I spent several days adding it and created a special page for it - click Nashville New Stuff!
There's more and I'll be writing about it in a newsletter (the kind with "discussions", detailed info, and a new spring class schedule) which will be published in a couple of weeks.
To see more new stuff, check out NordenCrafts
"new page" and of course, it's probably bad luck to not check out the latest update on our Merchant Mall (it is Friday the 13th...) - I took a quick look and saw some Bent Creek patterns that were not at the market last week and there's probably some others as well.
This year we will again be participating in the Needle and Thread: Stitching for Literacy Bookmark Challenge
organized by Jen Funk Weber of Funk & Weber Designs. I had a great time sharing a room with her at the tradeshow last fall and enjoyed getting to know her a little better. She works really hard to promote literacy and stitching - what a great way for her to combine her two loves. It's time to start stitching those bookmarks. Read more about it at BookmarkChallenge.
I'm working on designing a special "Pensacola" bookmark for people who participate and we are planning a couple of "Bookmark Workshops" during the Challenge period (March 19-May 7th). I'm hoping to get a ton of stitched bookmarks to donate to our public libraries.
We're getting ready for our Friday the 13th stitch-in later tonight and expecting a crowd. The shop has been hopping this week and I'm looking forward to Sunday and Stitching - they just go together for me!
Best of stitches -
