Hi Stitchers -
TGIF!! It's been a whirlwind of a week at Needle Delights as we prepare for our busiest time of the year - FALL and the HOLIDAYS. I won't upset you by telling you how many days there are until Christmas. Instead, I'll just tell you we have great, quick projects for everyone on your list and you have plenty of time to stitch holiday gifts, whether they be Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or whatever else might float your boat!
We had a great time at the drop-in Gold Party yesterday. 20 people sold some gold for a total of $4185.87 with checks ranging from $17.60 - 634.55. Tonia & I get to split a check of $518.58 for hosting the party and we also raised $104.64 for Manna Food Bank as Golden Girls donates 2.5% of the total party to the charity of our choice. If you wanted to come but couldn't make it, let me know. If there's enough interest, we'll schedule her to come again. If you're not familiar with this type of party, visit their website at www.GoldDoesGood.com - if you'd like to have your own party, give me a call and I'll give you contact info - I liked Connie, our certified gold buyer.
We have our September Stitch-In scheduled for Saturday, September 12th from 4-midnight. If you'd like to come, the cost is $5.00 and includes dinner & dessert - we're doing salads again because we seem to really enjoy them and it's not quite soup weather (I'm longing for it and looking forward to it!). We've started taking signups and your payment is your reservation. If you'd like to bring a dessert, please let me know.
I've finalized the prices for the Felicia Flamingo ornament kits - she's the ornament that my mom designed for this year's Just Cross Stitch ornament magazine - I can't wait until it arrives next month! The Stitching Kit $14.95 includes fabric, floss & buttons. The Finishing Kit $17.95 includes pre-finished legs with boots, pre-made bow, matboard, batting, and floss for cording. We appreciate you signing up early as it helps us determine how much to order and Jeanette really needs to know how many legs to sew!
The website has just a few new things this week - the new Halloween book from Blackbird, Shakespeare's Fairies, and you can see the Thread Kit and pattern for September's Color of the Month thread club.
There's lots more in Last Week’s New if you haven't checked it out or want to browse again!
The online Sale is ongoing - check out the limited specials - don't delay or you may miss out! It has already happened to some.
Signups are under way for the next Mystery Needlepoint - I was excited to hear that Tonia had a call from a man in New York who signed up! I can now say we have signups from Coast to Coast as we also have someone in Washington State who will be stitching along with us. Sign up anytime, the payment is not required until September 15th. So far, Tahiti is the favorite colorway!
Don't forget the Primitive Needle Trunk Show - it'll be here one more week. We also have a consignment order of the little mahogany and ivory animal needle holders in the shop - they make great gifts and we've sold a ton of them. The special Trunk Show price through next week is $20 (regularly $23.95). Although there aren't pictures on the website at the moment, there might be by Tuesday - I'll do my best!
Until Tuesday, many happy stitching hours!
