It’s another Friday and it’s actually warm and sunny here in Florida, just like it’s supposed to be! I know my friends in AZ and CA have been hard hit by heavy rains and winds – hope everyone everywhere is safe, dry and warm, wherever you are!
I’ve been busy updating the website and there are lots of things for you to look at. I’ve gotten most of the fabric from our “Trunk Show” listed (still need to do the 28ct but you can look at the 32 ct to see the colors available). Although the fabric listed online is being sold by the fat quarter cut, we do cut fabric we carry any size you want here in the shop (except for the overdyeds which are also sold only in yardage cuts with a minimum of 1/8 yard). I’ve been working on a fairly extensive article about fabric so I won’t talk about fabric too much here. You should see it soon – if you have any (and I do mean ANY) questions, please send them to me so I can include what you want to know. There are no stupid questions.
If you ever want to order fabric, you can always call and talk to me in person and we’ll get you what you need. There are so many fabrics we could never carry them all but we do have over 500 pieces so there’s a lot to choose from. It’s optimum to select fabric in person but I’ve usually been pretty good at selecting fabric for people if I’ve talked to them over the phone or if you know what you want. FabricOnline
The Lizzie Kate auto came in and everything is pretty cute, timely and/or fun. It’s all posted under NewThisWeek
Patti of SamSarah and Just Another Button Co has been busy – there are two new collectible monthlies that I wrote gobs about (can you tell I love them both?!) and you can click here to see them both. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to order. I’m also giving you a link to her blog which provides stitchers with up-to-date info about the newest designs and previews of what will soon be arriving in the shops from SamSarah Designs. She also is one of the owners of Just Another Button Company. Patti & I met at market many moons ago and she’s a lot of fun. We bonded over a funny moment and it seems to go on and on! Anyone who can make those millions of buttons and design so much great stuff is to be admired greatly – she really is a wonderful person and has made and continues to make a huge contribution to our world of needlework.
If you’re wondering if I’ll ever blog, yes, it’s on my radar. First though, I’m taking a class with my webmaster next week to learn how to set up and operate the Forum through our own Needle Delights website. Up first will be setting up a Forum/Bulletin Board for the current Stitch-A-Long. I know a lot of people would like to follow along from afar and I’m working on making this happen. Stay tuned for more details.
The calendar on the website is updated so you can see the dates for all the Stitch-A-Long “First Fridays”, the Saturday Stitch-Ins, the Mystery Classes, the Tuesday Night Stitching, Open House, Retreat, and classes. My February class is all about stitching with beads – I’ll write more about it next week.
That’s it for this week – Tonia has a bunch of stuff framed and photographed but I’ve been working on this computer since 8 this morning and can’t take it anymore! I’ll put it up later this weekend.
Hope you’re stitching!
