Friday Update

Sent: August 5, 2011

Hi Stitchers -

TGIF - it's time again to show you what's new in the shop. It's all up at NewThisWeek to see it all. There's new cross stitch (the Prairie Schooler Santa is here along with new designs from Country Cottage, Mirabilia,  & Mill Hill ornament kits) and new counted canvas charts from Brenda Kocher, DebBee's Designs, and me! Here's my latest Color Delights - this month is "Plum".

Do you know about Hoffman's "Friday Feature"? They feature a designer each Friday and today's latest is an interview with Nora Corbett, designer of Mirabilia Designs. I've known Nora since she started out and have stitched a number of her designs. She's a true artist and wonderful with color - I think you'll find her very interesting. Click on the link above and then on "Friday Feature" just below the burgundy bar. Prior "Friday Features" are archived there as well, in case you've missed them or are just discovering this fun way of getting to know the people who bring us fabulous designs.

Although I'm finished posting daily "Deals" for July, the page is still full of lots of great bargains for you and they may be ordered anytime. Click Deal Of The Day to see what you can still save a bundle on. I've deleted all the "Sold Out" items and adjusted the prices (down, of course!) on a number of items. I'll let you know when I add more items - you seem to enjoy this "event"!

I can hardly believe I'll be on a jet plane next Friday! I'll be attending the "Fall" Needlework Market and am looking forward to shopping and exhbiiting. While I'm away, the shop will be closed on Friday & Saturday, Aug 12 & 13th. Because this show is so close in time to our Holiday Open House, I've decided to postpone the Open House this year  - stay tuned for more details about this event.

I hope you're staying cool wherever you are - it's hotter than you know what here in NW FL. Of course, it always is in the summer but for whatever reason, I seem to be struggling with it more than usual this summer. The only relief seems to be stitching with the A/C on full blast and dreaming of cooler weather. I know it must be coming...

Keep the needle threaded!
Kathy
