News That Counts!

Hi Stitchers -
It's the eve of another weekend (boy, do the weeks go fast!) and I have posted some photos on the website for you to view. I'll list the links as I go so I don't forget!
First, as some of you know, I adopted two kittens a couple of weeks ago. They won't be shop kitties (sorry cat lovers!) but they do have their own page in the photo gallery. I also have a whole slide show on my computer if you do come in the shop and want to see them! I'm worse than a grandmother showing pictures of my babies!
I've been stitching a lot lately (as usual) and finished up a quick Shepherds Bush kit, Thankful Sheep, for Thanksgiving. Terry's latest stitching is Polly Wolly Doodle from La-D-Da - she changed the blue to red and it came out great. Jinger's latest stitching is Santa's Clothes from Raise the Roof. It's stitched on the opalescent sparkly linen and is framed beautifully. We're also proud to be displaying a few customers pieces. Emily Burton has stitched Secret Santa from Lavender & Lace - it was hard to get a good photo but we do have it hanging in the shop for a few weeks if you can come and see it in person. I also took a photo of Mary Wilson's Prairie Schooler Santas - they are stitched over one on 25 ct lugana and are just wonderful. Jeanette made them into ornaments and it was hard for her to part with them. Photos are on the Shop Display page.
I've also finished stitching Snapperville from Bent Creek and put a photo of the framed model on the Monthly Club page.
Also on the Monthly Club Page is a photo of the new Bi-Monthly Windowpanes from Mill Hill for 2006. If you have tired eyes, this is the club for you! All kits will be done on 10 ct Betsy Ross Fabric and will include all the supplies. The stitched size is about 5.5 x 6.5, you only have one every other month and they will all go in the same windowpane frame (the frame is available in white or wheat). All fun fibers and embellishments are included in the kit. The Jan/Feb kit will be avail Dec 1st, the Mar/Apr Feb 1st, and continues through the year. If you want to sign up, let us know by November 11th. Monthly kits are $25.00 and the frame is $15.00. If you sign up, please let us know if you want the frame.
Last but not least for the photos, more Pray Trees are posted - they are still coming in. We are also still taking donations of stitching stash for the hurricane victims. We will collect it until December 1st.
We sold out of our first shipment of the Limited Edition Mirabilia kits, "The Christmas Elf Fairy" - I snagged one of them and started stitching it too! I think she's just darling! We'll be getting more in next week - just let us know if you'd like to reserve one. She's the first of six limited edition patterns in the Fairy Holiday Collection. I don't know if this is an annual collection or they'll come more often, but if you want to collect all six as they are offered, let us know and we'll keep a list. If you missed her the first time, here's a link to the photo:
We're getting orders of new merchandise in from the online show and have lots of goodies in the shop. New patterns will be released the first of next week as another new month arrives. Fall seems to be finally in the air and I love the crisp cool mornings. It's great stitching weather! With less than two months til Christmas, there is still time to come pick out a few projects!
Be sure to pick up your needle this weekend!
Happy Stitching -
