Stitched by Nancy Hargrave (finished in 94) - How wonderful to frame something that has been hanging around for 15 years to enjoy now!
Stitched by Nancy Hargrave; I don't think she'd mind me telling you that she dug out this piece she'd started about 12 years ago and started coming to our Tuesday night group a little over a year ago. Stitching just a little each month, it's now complete, framed and gorgeous with the red suede mat. I hope you'll use this story as inspiration to stitch for the holidays all year long!
Pineapple Estate - Stitched by Joyce White; Designer By the Bay Needleart
Stitched & Designed by Kelley Cook; it's Fabulous!
I think Tonia would call this her biggest challenge so far! Stitched by Rebecka Walther, the pattern is called "And they Sinned". It's a beautiful piece and the framing turned out gorgeous! Tonia's in one of the photos so you can see how tall the piece is and how cute she looks in her framers apron!
Another name stitched by Betty Park.
A cute baby sampler - I haven't seen this one before.
Scary Carrie & Buddy Boo - stitched by Kay Zellars. Believe it or not, the pieces are in the same color frame but the pictures were taken at different times and the color came out completely different. This is a great example of how you never really can be certain of a true color from a photo. Designs are from Lavender Wings
Butterfly - stitched by Nancy Reese
Fairy Dreams - stitched by Barbara Hamilton on an overdyed jobelan - it turned out stunning. ; designer -Lavender & Lace
Family - stitched by Rosemary Pape; designer - Lizzie Kate
These two stunning pieces of cross stitch looked like modern art. If you look closely, the one on the left has a butterfly for the nose, a leaf for the eye, and a flower for the mouth (the pattern is called Mouth of the Flower). Family of Birds (on the right) uses birds for the features and a tree trunk for the hair. Stitched by Darlene Taylor; designer - Stitching Studio

An old piece of crewel stitched by Debbie Douma and reframed. The cauliflower is all french knots and the workmanship was excellent. The photo doesn't show the rusticness of the frame and how well it all goes together. I wish we'd taken a "Before" photo!

Tahiti - stitched by Kathy Rees & Sherri Rigby - designer - Needle Delights Originals

Amour - pattern from JBW; stitched by Regina Joyce
Birth Announcement - I don't recall whose pattern this is but we sold it to her and she stitched it for her first grandchild!
It was very sweet...this was the first piece Dottie Werson had stitched in years. Isn't it interesting what the birth of a child will inspire?! Dottie is stitching again after rediscovering how relaxing stitching is.
Map pattern from Sue Hillis (all states available) - stitched by Joyce White for her daughter who has contemporary decor so we used a silver/gray frame. It looked great!
Home from Bent Creek; stitched by Dianna Archey as a gift for a college grad moving into her first home
Stitched by Deborah Ransom to hang in her church's nursery. Isn't it just perfect for that?!
Stitched by Framer (retired) John; framed by Framer Tonia - this pattern is out of print - my dad has been stitching this same pattern for years and often gives it as a wedding gift.
I stitched this piece from The Stitcherhood, a new designer. I used Kelp Waterlilies and since there was not a color of mat I liked, I sewed a piece of batik fabric around it to serve as the mat. I was pretty happy with the way it turned out and of course, love the verse!
Stitched by Becky Cockcroft - I think these are her grandchildrens' names and she made this up.
Heart in Hand - stitched by Regina Joyce (I think this was a kit that came with the button)

Caladiums needlepont - the gold between the mats is called a fillet and looks like a tiny frame - beautiful in person.
This gorgeous Nina Fritz poster celebrates Pensacola's 450 anniversary. The blue frame really sets it off. I may have to get one of these prints for myself!
Cute little baby sampler from SamSarah - and quick to stitch!
An oil painting we framed for a husband's birthday - it'd been "sitting around for a long time" and one of the people in the painting is his father!
These cute and (VERY!!) quick to stitch charmed samplers make great gifts. Danielle Bentley made this for her husband (hope he's not looking at our website to ruin the surprise!)
Darling for a new child! Stitched by Betty Park
Stitched by Tonia and framed just in time for tomorrow's wedding - good thing she's THE FRAMER! The pattern is from Imaginating and Tonia says it stitched up fairly quickly and it would be easy to change the color of the heart and flower to customize it (we can help you with that!).
The customer who had this framed said it's 30 years old and she took it out of the frame it had been in to reframe it for her baby's nursery - what a great way to keep something! Please don't ask for the pattern - it's long out of print!
Look what can be done with a simple greeting card - this is just one of many shapes we can cut.
Machine embroidery done for a fundraiser - it is beautiful framed.
Brought in by Sharon Long, she proudly announced that she'd bought this piece of cross stitch on e-bay for $6.00. Although she stitches (a lot!), she couldn't resist purchasing it, especially not having ever seen the pattern. It's not familiar to me either. The mats and the shimmery copper of the frame we selected were just perfect for it, although it's difficult to capture "sparkle" in a photograph.
Needlepointed for her granddaughter, Susan did the background in metallic!
This adorable sampler to celebrate everything "St Patty's Day" was stitched by Renee Paul and designed by Blue Ribbon Designs. They have a lot of patterns like this to celebrate different holidays and events.
Celebrate Everything - stitched by Eva Joiner and design from Shepherds Bush - This one covers all the holidays and is fun and quick to stitch on 18ct linen over 2 or on 10 ct over 1.
Stitched by Nancy Crutchfield; Design from JBW - Nancy added the baby's name and birthdate to make this into a darling little baby sampler.
Stitched by Cathleen Frey; Design from Sweetheart Tree
(the cute little ladybug charm comes with the pattern)
Stitched by Lynn Harrell; Design "Twisted Heart" from Ink Circles
This is my "Blueberry Torte"! Although it's difficult to tell from the photo, the suede mat is beautiful!
Cute little birth sampler a boy. The frog is from a Beatrix Potter chart and Micki (the stitcher
charted out the name to make it part of this darling birth sampler. If you look closely, you can see Tonia's
shadow as she's taking the picture with the glass on it. Just a reminder to those
of you who like to photograph your pieces - do it before the glass!!
Mirabilia's Christmas Fairy - Tonia actually framed two of these last week!
Exactly the same - the oval suede mat really sets her off!
It's never too early or late to frame your Christmas projects!

Twister - stitched by Anne Gajda - Counted Needlepoint

Be Merry - Just Nan
The "frame" on the inside of the mat is called a Filet and really dresses a piece up. We have a lot of styles to choose from -

Mirabilia - Mermaids of the Deep Blue (The "moon" is the flash reflection on the glass - I forgot to photograph it before Tonia put it together - she's too quick!!)

Santa Clothes - Raise the Roof (never too early to do Christmas!)

Peaceful Paradise - Midsummer Night - Tonia stitched this and gave it to her best friend for Christmas. How special it must be to have a piece given to you by someone who not only stitched it but framed it too.

The oval mat made this piece! Letter A from Nora Corbett (Mirabilia)
Letters A-L are available as of March 6, 2009

This is a piece that Jeanette Rees (my mom) designed - she only teaches it, the pattern is not for sale. I just wanted to show you the triple specialty mats.

Four pieces of needlepoint in one frame with a double mat - very striking. The individual pieces
are ornament/coaster size and all the same design done in different colors. The black mat
really sets off the bright colors. Stitched by Pam Burke; Designer: Carole Lake
